2002 “Best soloist award” Dutch jazz competition 2002. Also prize for best group (Agog).

Teaching
Privat drum lessons from 1985.
Teacher at the “DJAM”, music school in Amsterdam from 1992.
Since 2005 guest teacher on the conservatory Amsterdam.
In 2006 teacher during the summer jazz workshop in Amsterdam.
With the Yuri Honing trio workshops in different countries all over the world.
