In 2005 one of Holland’s finest saxophonists, Yuri Honing, is invited for a recording session with the famous Dutch Metropole Orchestra, led by the great conductor and composer Vince Mendoza. The recording is meant for a one-time broadcast on Dutch radio only. But the result turns out to be so beautiful, all parties decide immediately that the music should be released on CD for everyone to enjoy. |
